I am privileged to present a brief report of the achievement of JMJ Navjeevan School, Rajnandgaon during the academic session 2019-20.
The new Academic Year Commenced on 1st April 2019. The Summer vacations was declared from 1st May to 23rd June. With much passion and commitment to conquer the challenges in life and to compete in their studies successfully, the staff and the students of the school marched into the campus on 24th June 2019. We ensure that our students share a very special relationship with the institution with the firm and dedicated staff to support them in realizing their objectives and goals, in the areas of academic, sports, discipline and co-curricular activities.
ACADEMICS:
“ A man needs his difficulties because they re necessary to enjoy success.”
I wish to begin with our performance on the academic front. Academic achievements reflect a demonstrated ability to perform to the best of one’s ability by developing one’s intellectual potentials and skills with diligence. I am able to say that we are doing well and glad to record that our students are climbing the ladder of success in Class X board examinations with 100% result. The Class XII students moved out with 80% result. We are also striving to motivate the students to be life long learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever changing global society.
SPORTS AND GAMES:
An athlete cannot run with money in his pockets. He must run with hope in his heart and dreams in his head.”It is here the students reveals his or her character and learns many a lesson for life.Hence sports ,games and physical fitness occupy a place of importance in our curriculum. This was proved by our students through three days sports event which held in the month of December. Our children took part in various sports and games enthusiastically and received many awards.
Apart from this the students also got the opportunities to participate in State , National and interschool competitions and won medals, certificates and trophies. This year six of our students are selected for national floorball which took place in Delhi.
SOME INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
I congratulate Masters. Yedant Gurdeep and Adarsh who was awarded 21000/-cash as 1st prize and Ms. Mansi and Ms.Vaishali Who won 15000/- cash as 2nd prize in Football, Master.Lalu Yadav was awarded 21000/- as 1st prize in yog-mu-duo and Master. Ayush sahu and Ms.Pallavi Ukey awarded with 15000/- as 2nd Prize in Net ball which was conducted by School game federation of India(SGFI).
COMPETITIONS:
Our students of different classes participated in various competitions in various interschool competitions like Ramacharit Manas, Samuhik nrutya prtiyogita where students achieved 4th Prize among 19 schools. . Other competitions like Elocution, Essay writing, Debate etc. which was named by CBSE as Hubs of learning and achieved many awards and certificates.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Various Co-Curricular activities are held to achieve the intellectual,Physical, Mental and moral formation of the students. Students have regular Yoga, PET in the school. Certain events of the academic year are recitation of rhymes, drawing, fancy dress,greeting card making etc.
Seminars and Workshops: To ensure that our staff and students are well equipped with information and technology to face any challenges We have focused workshops such as:
- POCSO by child line Rajnandgaon.
- Carrier guidance by Confluence college.
Teachers attended Some seminars like:
- Hubs of learning
- Gender sensitivity.
- Khelo India National fitness assessment program. So on.
PARENTS TEACHERS MEETING:
It is a well known fact that the father, mother and teachers are the people who are primarily responsible for moulding the future minds of the nation. Parents are encouraged to interact, update and share the concerns of their wards with their teachers.
SCHOOL PARLAMENT:
To develop the innate talents of each child in studies, discipline cultural interests, sports activities so on. To fulfill their dreams in this regard we school parliament elections. Master. Sanskar Patel as Head boy and Ms.Muskan Hirwani as Head girl along with other leaders and House Captions. At the investiture ceremony the newly elected leaders were given all their responsibilities. An Oath of dignity and honour was taken by the newly elected prefects of the School.
CELEBRATIONS AND FUNCTIONS:
Our School celebrates some important days to make students learn about the culture, heritage, and to make children aware of the pressing issues concerning the environment and the world. Some of these celebrations are Green day,Independence day, Teachers day, Children’s day.
SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL DIMENSIONS:
We have been trying to inculcate moral values among students by providing them the opportunities to share and listen to the inspirational quotes every day during the assembly.
We had three days preparation for our Founder’s day. children conducted quiz on the life history of Rev.Fr.Mathias wolff. Charts were displayed in the notice board.
We also had Christmas celebration on 20th December. Children took active participation in various programs like Christmas Skit, Carols and dances etc.
We have been continuing the practice of charity day to collect funds for the poor and needy. This year we have collected 22000/- for the smile foundation and also we have conducted solidarity day on 14th November and collected the amount of Rs. 20000/- Towards the Poor.
PARENTS ASSOCIATION( PA):
Our Palak samiti members are closely and actively involved in all the activities of the school.
CONCLUSION:
I would like to conclude this brief report thanking the Almighty God for his presence and guidance all through out the year.
I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Sr.Marykutty Antony the provincial superior, Sr.Pushpy Michael, Sr.Ceciliamma Tumma, Sr.Susheela Kerketta the Provincial council for all the help they have given to me from time to time.
